Frequently asked questions
Getting Started
What is U2xAI Academy?
U2xAI Academy is an online academy that teaches procurement and supply chain professionals to use Claude Code and MCP to automate real work, including spend analysis, category management, sourcing, and source-to-pay. The courses are hands-on, produce working deliverables, and require no prior coding experience.
Who is U2xAI Academy for?
It is for procurement and supply chain practitioners: category managers, buyers, analysts, sourcing and source-to-pay professionals, consultants, and university graduates entering the field. There are dedicated plans for students, consultants, and enterprise teams. No technical or coding background is needed to start.
Do I need coding experience to take these courses?
No. The courses are built for procurement people with no coding background. You learn by doing, in plain language, and every lesson explains the reasoning behind each step so you build the tooling skills and the procurement skills together.
Do I need procurement experience to start?
No. You do not need procurement or coding experience to start. Foundational courses cover the source-to-pay cycle and the basics of Claude Code, so you can begin from scratch and build up to advanced work.
How is U2xAI Academy different from a general AI or coding course?
It is built specifically for procurement and supply chain, not general coding. Every lesson uses real procurement work and produces a usable deliverable, and it is taught by practitioners, so you learn the tooling and the procurement craft together rather than in isolation.
Claude Code and MCP
What is Claude Code?
Claude Code is an AI tool from Anthropic that can read files, run tasks, and automate work through natural language instructions. At U2xAI Academy, we show procurement and supply chain professionals how to apply it to real workflows like spend analysis, category models, sourcing, and connecting to existing systems, without needing to write traditional code.
What is MCP (Model Context Protocol) and why does it matter for procurement?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI tools like Claude Code connect to external systems and data. For procurement, that means your automation can use the tools, reports, and datasets your team already works with, so you can get results in your real environment rather than in a disconnected sandbox.
Can Claude Code connect to my existing procurement systems?
Yes. Through MCP, Claude Code can connect to procurement systems and data sources your organization already uses. We teach you how to set up these connections so the workflows you build run on live data and support your day-to-day work.
What procurement tasks can I automate with Claude Code?
You can automate tasks like spend classification, leakage detection, benchmarking, and monthly reporting. You can also build category models, should-cost analyses, sourcing and RFx workflows, and QBR decks. Our courses walk through these outcomes one hands-on workflow at a time, so you can adapt them to your categories and tools.
Courses and outcomes
How are the courses structured?
Our courses are practical and broken into focused lessons. Some are cookbooks built around hands-on recipes, where each recipe produces a specific work deliverable so you can apply one recipe at a time. Others guide you through a full workflow, such as the source-to-pay cycle or a procurement execution model.
What are the cookbook courses?
Cookbook courses are recipe-based. Each recipe is a self-contained, hands-on task that produces a specific deliverable, such as a spend classification or a should-cost model, so you can learn and apply one recipe at a time.
Which course should I start with?
If you are new, start with Claude Code for Procurement: A Beginner's Hands-On Guide or Foundations of Source to Pay. From there, move into the spend analytics and category analysis cookbooks. Next, connect Claude Code to your own stack and build a repeatable execution model you can run in your day-to-day work.
What will I be able to do after the bootcamp?
You will be able to install and run Claude Code, automate sourcing and spend tasks, and produce working deliverables such as spend classifications, should-cost models, savings pipelines, Kraljic matrices, and QBR decks. The goal is output you can use at work the next day, not just theory.
Are there courses for both beginners and experienced practitioners?
Yes. If you are a beginner, start with Claude Code for Procurement: A Beginner's Hands-On Guide or Foundations of Source to Pay. If you are an experienced practitioner, you can jump straight into the advanced spend analytics and category analysis cookbooks for deeper, multi-step work.
Pricing and plans
How much does U2xAI Academy cost?
We offer subscription plans: Student at $199 (requires .edu or ID verification), Consultant at $999 (includes a commercial-use license), and Enterprise at $1999 (includes team licenses and admin tools). For current details and what is included in each plan, please check the pricing page.
What is the difference between the Student, Consultant, and Enterprise plans?
Student is priced for students and recent grads and requires verification. Consultant is designed for independent advisors and adds a commercial-use license so you can apply what you learn in paid client engagements. Enterprise is for procurement and supply chain teams and adds team licenses, centralized admin, and custom learning paths for a whole team.
Can I use what I learn for paid client work?
Yes, with the Consultant plan. It includes a commercial-use license plus delivery assets intended for independent advisors who need to ship source-to-pay results for clients. If you plan to bill client work using these skills and materials, the Consultant plan is the right fit.
Do you offer team or enterprise access?
Yes. The Enterprise plan is built for procurement and supply chain teams. It includes team licenses, centralized admin, and custom learning paths mapped to your stack, so you can upskill a whole team on Claude Code without training people one by one.
